About the Author

John Mittendorf is a 30-year veteran of the Los Angeles City Fire Department where he retired as the Commander of the In-Service Training Section. During his career in the fire service, he was privileged to speak on fire related topics to fire departments in the United States and Europe and currently has five published best selling fire service books that are distributed globally.

Before John’s retirement in 1993, he became interested in the evolution vs creation debate and directed his focus to the biblical account of creation and the global flood by specializing in Genesis 1-11. In 2006, John was interviewed by Answers In Genesis, a Christian apologetic ministry and accepted an invitation to attend their training in Kentucky. As a result, John is a certified Video Conference Coordinator for Answers In Genesis. Since 2007, John has appeared monthly as a researcher-apologist for KDOV by speaking on various Bible related subjects with an emphasis on topics related to Genesis 1-11. 

The focus of John’s ministry is dedicated to enabling Christians to defend their faith - particularly the creation account by providing answers to questions surrounding the book of Genesis, as it is the most-attacked book of the Bible - and to effectively proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ. John and his wife attend Jacksonville Presbyterian Church in Jacksonville, Oregon.

 John 1:3 says, "All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made" which indicates that God made everything we see without the help of secular science and/or secular evolution. 

ll Timothy 3:16-17 says, "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work" which indicates that Scripture is accurate and complete without needing modern science for interpretation.
